The Road to a Plant Based Diet
I began to question why us as human beings eat meat and if we really need to consume animal protein.
Firstly, coming from experience it would have to be the flavour. Nothing tastes better than a perfectly done rack a ribs or juicy chicken breast. That being said these flavours can be duplicated with a plant based protein, so if that is the case why not take the plant alternative? It’s just plain easier to cook meat. If you look at it as ease of use for making dinner or meal planning for yourself or children, it’s just a pain to prepare the vegan dish.
I have decided to take the challenge of going down the path of switching to a plant based diet… starting with vegetarian and moving onto vegan. I’m hoping to do more research on the pros and cons of switching to this lifestyle and sharing them here.
